
Ingredients:
2 ½ cups Wild Rice
3 cups water
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup of fresh green beans sliced
1/8 cup slivered almonds
¼ cup diced red bell pepper
½ tsp salt
1 tbsp. unsalted butter
½ tsp black pepper
Directions:
In a medium sauce pan, bring 3 cups of water to a boil. Add Rice and seasonings and stir. Reduce heat to a medium. Cook the rice until all water has absorbed and rice can be fluffed with a fork. While the rice is cooking, add chicken broth, bell pepper and green beans to a medium skillet. You can add additional salt and pepper if preferred. Cook the vegetables on high heat until all chicken broth has been absorbed. Once the vegetables are cooked, remove from heat and add to the rice (when the rice is finished cooking). Then add almonds and stir together well. Serve.
