Carne Asada Marinade

Ingredients:
One 8-16 ounce skirt steak
½ tsp salt and pepper
2 small jalapenos or one large
1/4 large red ripe tomato
3 cloves garlic
1 lime
½ cup orange juice
1/8 cup green onion using green parts only
Directions:
Cut green onion into small pieces using only green part of the onion. Wash and cut tomato removing the seeds. Wash and cut jalapeno(s) removing the seeds. Remove garlic cloves from covering and cut in half. Add prepared onion, tomato, garlic, jalapeno(s) into a blender. Then add all remaining ingredients to the blender . Blend to puree the mixture. Add to the steak in a pan. Cover and refrigerate for about 1-2 hours. Preparing the Grill to low medium heat, cook for about 5-8 minutes per side (depends on the size of the steak)
Remove steak from grill and place on a clean cutting surface. Allow the steak to cool for about 5-7 minutes to contain the juices.
Cut the steak into thin strips going with grain of the steak.
Yields: 1-1½ cups
