Ingredients:
4 cups shredded green cabbage
3 cups shredded red cabbage
2 cups shredded carrots
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
1 tsp lemon juice
½ cup apple cider vinegar
1 cup mayonnaise
Directions:
In a sauce pan add vinegar and sugar and heat to allow sugar to melt in with the vinegar. Remove from heat and allow to cool. In a mixing bowl, add lemon juice and mayonnaise and mix well. In a separate large mixing bowl, add cabbages and carrots. Mix spices with the cabbages and carrots. Add vinegar and sugar mixture and toss well with the slaw. Place in the refrigerator and allow the cabbage mix to marinade. Remove from refrigerator and toss mixture again. Then add the mayonnaise mixture and toss well. Place back in the refrigerator for about 2 hours before serving. Just prior to serving, toss the cole slaw well.
