Covered Strawberries

Chocolate Covered

Ingredients:
12-15 medium to large strawberries
1 – 12 ounce package of baking chocolate (dark, semisweet or white)

Optional: 1-2 drops of desired food coloring

Directions:
Wash strawberries and lay on a paper towel to dry in the refrigerator for at least two hours. Using a double boiler, melt the preferred chocolate. Once the chocolate is melted, dip each strawberry into the chocolate to coat. Set on parchment paper until chocolate has cooled. Serve

You can make this dish ahead of time. Store the covered strawberries in the refrigerator. Place them on a sheet pan in a single layer and cover with plastic wrap. Use within 48 hours of making.

Lime Strawberries

Ingredients:
12-15 medium to large strawberries
1 – 12 ounce package of white baking chocolate
2 tbsp. Lime gelatin powder

Optional: 2 drops of green food coloring

Directions:
Wash strawberries and lay on a paper towel to dry in the refrigerator for at least two hours. Using a double boiler, melt the white chocolate and gelatin powder together. Stir to allow the gelatin to incorporate into the chocolate. Once the mixture has melted, dip each strawberry into the mixture to coat. Set on parchment paper until mixture has cooled. Serve
