Candied Almond Topper

Ingredients:
2 cups of sliced natural almonds
4 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. dark brown sugar
1 tsp kosher sea salt

Directions:
In a small sauce pan, melt butter. Add sugar and sea salt and allow the mixture to blend together while whisking for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and mix in the almonds to coat. Place the mixture on a greased sheet pan. Place in the oven at 400*F for about 5 minutes. Remove and allow pan to cool. Place in the freezer for about 30 minutes. Then break apart the almonds.

Use as a topping on salads or ice cream.  Store any unused almonds at room temperature in a sealed container for later use. This will keep for about one week.
