
Country Fried Steak. Served with Mashed Potatoes, Beef Gravy, and Green bean Casserole.
Ingredients:
6-8 pieces of cubed beef steak
3 cups All Purpose Flour
4 eggs
1½ cups milk
1½ tsp Paprika
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp onion powder
½ tsp black pepper
24 ounces of Canola Oil
Directions:
In a cast iron skillet, heat canola oil on the stove top to medium high heat. While the oil is heating start dredging the cubed steak in the mixtures as follows. In one mixing bowl, combine spices and flour and mix well. In a second mixing bowl, add eggs and milk and whisk together well. Dredge the cubed steak in the egg and milk mixture then the flour. Dredge back again in the egg and milk mixture and the flour mixture. Then add to the heated oil. Brown on both sides and then cook each side for about 5-6 minutes and turn to cook the other side for another 5-6 minutes. Place on a paper towel to rid of excess oil. Serve with homemade beef gravy.
