Brisket

 

 

Ingredients:
3.5-4 pound brisket
1 tbsp. black pepper
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. onion powder
1 tbsp. coarse sea salt
1 tsp mustard powder
½ tsp thyme (or one sprig of fresh thyme finely chopped)
½ tsp turmeric
½ tsp ground ginger
2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 *F. In a bowl mix all dry seasonings and stir. Add Olive oil, vinegar and Worcestershire. Mix well. Rub on top and sides of brisket evenly to coat. Place in the oven on the middle rack. Bake brisket at 400*F for 20-25 minutes. Reduce heat to 250*F. Continue to cook for approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours. Brisket is done when internal temperature is 120-130*F. Remove the Brisket from the oven and let sit for 20-30 minutes before serving. Resting the brisket will allow the brisket to continue to cook. Brisket will be perfectly medium rare in the middle.
