Happy Nurses Week 05/08/2019

Happy Nurses Week to all Nurses in the world!!!

We keep your loved ones ALIVE!!!

Please walk a mile in a nurses shoes and forgive the nurse who performed CPR on a patient and forgot to get you a cup of coffee!

We do not get an hour for lunch.  Usually our lunch breaks are interrupted with phone calls concerning our patients. We, as nurses put others before ourselves at work, in our own lives, and with the public.

We, as nurses, see someone in need and help them, always.  If we see a car accident, we stop to help even if this means we are late to work. If we see someone on our 20 year anniversary dinner choking, we aid in the Heimlich maneuver. If we see a child on the baseball field having a heat stroke, we take care of the child, even if we miss our own child’s grand slam.  If we are on a beach vacation and someone has drowned, we do CPR in our swimsuit, forgetting we are on vacation. When our co workers are in distress because they have lost a family member, we come home after a 12 hour shift and make a dinner or dessert for their family.  We volunteer on our days off for blood drives and teaching the public about heart disease and strokes. We are not paid for this, but feel the education we give as nurses SAVES LIVES!!

Nurses are so important to the medical field. Nurses have to  be a critical thinker and pass tough tests as well as a certified board exam.

Patients and their families come first. If you see us sitting down, we are charting on your family member.  We have a lot to chart, but most people think we are just doing nothing!

We do not play cards as some politicians may say!
